Turtle Island Space aims to transform STEM education with immersive online experiences focused on space science. We provide accessible, real-world learning by enabling students to control ground stations and decode satellite images remotely. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, engaging, and affordable education quickly, setting a new standard in space science learning with exceptional user experience and support.
Our Name
"Turtle Island Space" originated from a company from a family business, which sold educational toys for children with special needs. The name and logo were part of my childhood, and with her permission, I used them as inspiration. While it may not directly link to our company's mission, it holds sentimental value and is memorable.
Background
The founder, Brian Treacy, has a broad industrial experience of over 10 years in engineering design, project management and technical sales having worked at both Rolls Royce Aero Engines and ISISPACE, which gives him some of the core skills needed to make this vision a reality.
